Description
Proper chants in both English and Latin for Masses celebrated in the ordinary form. This book presents Introit chants for Sundays and major feasts of the church year.
The Introits in this book are fully notated with melodies based on commonly used forms in the repertoire of the Divine Office: mostly syllabic chant and simple to sing.
The English texts are approved ICEL translations appearing in the Roman Missal, with psalm verses from the Revised Grail Psalter, approved for liturgical use by the Holy See. Latin texts are from the Graduale Romanum, with psalm verses from the Clementine Vulgate Bible.
The Graduale Parvum is a project of The John Henry Newman Institute of Liturgical Music at the Birmingham Oratory, director, Fr. Guy Nicholls, C.O.; published jointly by the Institute and the Association for Latin Liturgy (UK).
